Academic Up-rise Inc. is a provider of tutoring service in core high school subjects and case management assistance for at-risk and homeless students attending public schools in Long Beach and vicinity.

The purpose of this program is to develop, implement and evaluate new methods by which to tutor and prepare "at-risk" students and athletes for standardized testing, and to help them to pass high school core subjects. This program is based on a seven-stage collaborative that links the local school district, social workers assisting homeless shelters, PTO/PTA's, local Food Banks, Community organizations, faith based organizations, and local government agencies providing assistance to "at-risk" students.

The purpose of this partnership is to develop and implement innovative curricular activities to help students matriculate into high school and enable them to take advantage of future life improvement opportunities. We also aim to get parents involved in the process.
